Multi-Navigator software 2008-03-30

The new version 2.19 contains the following new functionality (download below)

Satellite search
Improved GPS satellite search routine to enable short time to first fix.

NB! When upgrading the software in the Multi Navigator all waypoints will automatically be deleted. If you like to save your waypoints you should therefore store them in your PC before updating the software and after the upgrade send them back again:

Storing the waypoints in the PC before doing the software upgrade:
1. Plug the cable into the PC and into the Multi Navigator
2. Start the Global Map planner Software and the Multi Navigator
3. Wait a few seconds until the waypoints are downloaded to the software. If they are not automatically downloaded click on GPS>Receive
4. Click on File>Save Layer
5. Click on Navigator_Waypoints
6. Name the file (for example: my_waypoints.cwp)
7. DONE

Software upgrade - Proceed as follows:
1. Download the file brsi219.zip (577 kB) to your hard disc.
2. Unzip the file brsi219.faf
3. Start the Global Map Planner software
4. Select "GPS" > "Software upgrade"
5. Follow the instructions given on the screen - remember to select the correct file (the one you downloaded from this web-site).

Uploading the stored waypoints to the Multi Navigator, after the software upgrade:
1. Plug the cable into the PC and into the Multi Navigator
2. Start the Global Map planner Software and the Multi Navigator
3. Click on File>Open layer and open the file: my_waypoints.cwp
4. Click on the button "Layer control" and you will se a list of all the layers that are active in the Global Map Planner at the moment.
5. Double click on "Navigator_Waypoints" and you will see the list of these waypoints (after upgrade this will be empty)
6. Double click on "my_waypoints" and you will see the list of your stored waypoints
7. Move the "my_waypoints" window to the side so that you also can see the Navigator_Waypoints list (empty)
8. Mark all the waypoints in the "my_waypoints list by clicking on the grey marked number 1 in the left column (click on the number 1 digit) and the scroll down the list and while pressing "Shift" click on the last waypoint in the list in the left column. Now all the waypoints will be marked.
9. Click and hold the left column and move these into the empty Navigator_Waypoints list. Release when the pointer is in the Navigator_Waypoints list. Now the waypoints are copied into that list.
10. Click on GPS>Send and wait a few seconds for the waypoints to be transferred into the Multi Navigator
11. DONE

Global Map Planner software ver. 1.07
Here you can download the new version (1.07) of the Global Map Planner software.
The software will only work if you have an earlier version of the Global Map Planner installed on your computer.
The most important news in the 1.07 software is improved accuracy in the "Import bitmap" function under the file menu. Some other minor bug-fixes have also been done.

Do like this:
1. Rename the existing file on your hard drive "GlobalMapPlanner.exe" to "GlobalMapPlannerver1.exe"
2. Right click on this link and select "Save target as" and Browse to the directory "Program\GlobalMapPlanner\ and click on "Save". Wait for the file to download (size approx 3 MB).
3. Unzip the file (You will need Winzip or similar for opening)
4. Start the program as usual (or double click on the file in Windows Explorer).
5. Done!
